Hopefully there’s some pitchforks involved too, he earned them.

I think you’re right about that. He put into place a lot of the awful things that are really harming the US, not all of them mind you but a lot. Between him and Nixon they’re both pieces of shit and I hope they’re both getting pitchforks to the ass in hell.

Reagan was a fucking hateful monster who was responsible for so many of the evils that still plague America today.

Killing the fairness doctrine and the Mental Health Systems Act to name just a couple.

I upvoted you. But the fairness doctrine never covered cable tv or most AM talk radio opinion shows. And even where it did cover it was highly limited and largely toothless. Though I think we would have been better to keep it. It wasn’t some panacea that would have changed much. It didn’t stop the red scare propaganda etc that went unopposed for decades.

And the most costly war America ever started. The war on drugs. 50 years and a trillion dollars later we are no closer to winning. Can we change tactics yet?

      Morality is very subjective.

If your moral system includes minimizing human flourishing while maximizing human suffering, then Reagan was among the best men modern America ever produced.
