It’s in early access but if you have a PC with a decent CPU it’s definitely worth checking out. It’s an open world, procedurally generated murder mystery game. The scope of the generated world is mind boggling, to the point where the murder suspects sometimes go to store to buy the murder weapons, and leave fingerprints there.
I really want to like this game. I like the ideas behind an open mystery/detective game, but I played the demo during steam next fest and spent most my time just learning the ropes. It didn’t feel as fun as I hoped. As someone who has played more, what has made it a fun detective game for you?
I had that the first time I played it. I quit after about half an hour learning all the mechanics. When I went back a second time it somehow clicked. I definitely get why people don’t like it, though. You get a big city to explore but outside of the jobs you pick up yourself the world doesn’t really engage you. You have to make your own fun which makes the world feel dead and empty if you’re just looking around.
