Billionaires would say “but those can only do their jobs because there is a company that employs them” and i say no, all of those work perfectly fine as either self employed or with only two layers of hierarchy. CEO’s only exist in oversized, inefficient, leechy companies.

Not everyone wants to be self employed so legally speaking yes its kinda needed to have some person as an employer, but on a social and decision making level you can democratize it i agree. Ofcourse there are different models with shared ownership and such but thats also not for everyone i think.

You can’t really apply the current needs (and partly wants) to an anarchist society. Yeah not everyone wants to be self employed but self employed in the current context is way different than it would be in anarchy. Obviously not everyone would want to go through the whole hassle of self employment (i.e marketing, dealing with taxes looking for jobs to do) and in anarchy you could have guilds or something where you could focus on just one thing you want to do without dealing with all of the other architectural stuff

Everyone is already self employed, at least in capitalism. Just some take one really shitty contracts because their skillset has been monopolized by large companies.

I disagree. I’m really bad at self management. If there was zero layers I would pay someone to tell me what to do. Currently my employer takes a very significant portion of the value I generate, but if there was nohierarchhy I’d still pay someone a smaller portion my generated value to manage my tasks and coordinate my efforts.

working with a manager is not automatically a hierarchy of power. the keys is non coercion and voluntairy association.

as long as you can chose to switch manager, can choose to work without manager, can access the information your manager has, can resolve conflicts with your manager as equals, and have reasonable control over the distribution of the profits, all without threat to your livelyhood, this is not a hierarchy of power.

you do not have to do everything by yourself. thats what we got each other for. as equals :3
