No this is probably one of the most chill decently big spaces for trans people on the internet. There will always be trolls but to say that “lemmy hates trans people” is kinda wild.

Drag spoke to the mods of that community and they decided that the ban for encouraging suicide wasn’t justified, because drag didn’t actually encourage suicide.

Then they changed their minds for secret reasons they wouldn’t tell drag.

Drag suspects it might be related to that one guy who created an alt account to harass himself and pinged all his friends, so all his friends would think he was being harassed. He thought that trans people existing was an attempt to offend him.

Anyway, please don’t spread false rumours about drag having any banned alt accounts. Drag only has the one alt at lemmy.world, and drag hardly uses it. And in any case, this is a meme community, not the place to bring drama.

Most don’t, but there’s a very vocal minority who do. The lady in the picture is Philomena Cunk, a well meaning reporter with a head full of bricks. She’s a satirical character who makes fun of news media, pop culture, and political viewpoints. You shouldn’t take anything she says entirely seriously. The meme only exists to make the point that people who think pretending to be trans is an effective troll hate trans people. Here’s another example of the format which drag made a few hours ago:

Philomena Cunk (stage name.) is a satirical/comedy presenter. Well meaning or intelligence don’t come in to. Stop trying to be divisive.

Did you think drag was insulting the actor’s intelligence? You do know Philomena Cunk is a fictional character, right? She’s written to be dumb, it’s part of the joke. The writing on her shows is very good, she’s a very believable sort of fool.

I think you drag stuff on too much instead of cleanly split from those you find issue with. In my recent history my comments are like ‘nice comment’, ‘smart comment’, ‘funny comment’, nice, smart, funny (in my fantasy delusion view of myself lol), and then one that’s like ‘WTF U ABSOLUTE TRASH HOW DARE U’ etc etc etc ‘BLOCKED’. That’s cuz someone said something rude to me.

Key thing is the mods know that, since block happened, this is a one time event. the norm is peace or the instant attaining of peace.

Similarly when confrontations irl, every time i have police called on me, I make sure to say enough that they know it wont be a repeat thing. Whatever crime I could be pursued for doesn’t matter since the region is now safe.

Because I cleanly and instantly cut bad connections, even tho i often do it viciously, the drama basically ends at that point, so I am both ok with mods and my lemmy experience just gets nicer and nicer (more chill and peaceful). I think you tend to do the opposite and bring places you feel wronged in to other places instead of just cut them.

Just my advice. I like you and think you are one of the more interesting beings.

Thanks, but drag had no intention of starting any drama. Drag was doing some observational comedy. Seinfeld type stuff. Working drag’s daily experiences into a joke. Drag thought the meme was clever and would be well-received. Drag wasn’t expecting people to go bringing a whole lot of drama into the thread.
