Reminds me of “Roonil Wazlib”.
Reminds me of “Roonil Wazlib”.
I feel like a lot of people from different countries would fit that description after the fact since technology was more expensive and it took us longer to be able to afford the new and trendy items.
This strikes me as a way to bring in the thing to the dealership to address other more important issues like the accelerator while playing it down as “only a wipers issue”. They must be scared by oncoming lawsuits that they decided this was the best course of action.
I don’t commute to work daily but see them once in a while. I’d be lying if I didn’t say they scare me as the driver of a compact car. I’m just hoping whomever gets sliced by colliding (or being collided by) those monstrous things goes quickly. I can’t imagine what the scene will look like if we have a pedestrian near by while their stupid accelerator gets stuck again.
I don’t recall of it was android or the Apple jailbroken store, but they had plugins to replace your contacts and other personal data with dummy entries for apps unless you white listed them. Seems like such an obvious solution. At least they are catching up a decade later.
That guy is probably getting pegged by musk for $1 billion per instance. It’s on his best interest musk has the money and needs to convince the board.
I am aware of all of those points, the thing is people try to make excuses for why we can’t follow the rest of the world and expect some perfect solution day 1, which will just hold us back. Gotta start somewhere.
For the first point and point about audits, can still be handled as they are now, send people a w2 and bank reported prefilled form, ask them to add anything missing. Same as now, but less energy required to start or complete the task for most people. Kind of how most tax programs start your State income tax forms with the information entered in the federal one and what was declared the previous year which is already known and go from there.
I’m guessing 50% of individuals would be covered by just those 2 methods. Other methods would quickly follow once people realize how the rest of the world does not cater to crazy and the ones they can legally bribe (“lobby”).
This all makes sense to me since we deal with it at work. I would maybe add a service vs route point to differentiate things like UI that need external exposure. The main difference is we use kustomize instead of helm. Out of curiosity if you had any experience with both and why did you settle in helm?
As a Mexican I can say that cinco de mayo is just a marketing holiday similar to saint Patrick’s day and capitalism has ruined any significance behind the actual batalla de Puebla… ooooh, did you just say you have a colorful donkey tequila on sale? Count me in 🤠
The sad part is that I put my phone down for a minute to do some chores. Picked it up and for a second thought this was a different article about a different narcissistic clown that is currently on the news a lot as well based on the comment.
They are also enterprise drives which consume slightly more power and more importantly generate more noise/clicking sounds on average when compared to a consumer drive. Depending on where you were planning to install them, it might not be the best option.
You don’t need it to be on the appliance itself. Hook a power metering smart outlet and you can tell. Or a shake sensor. Or an open door sensor. Combine them all for a reliable effective way to tell if it’s done and the door has been opened, all for a much lower price than what those “smart” appliances charge the premium for. This way you can also choose vendors that work on local wifi/zigbee/z wave and don’t own a paper weight or part functional item the moment the vendor decides to shutdown the servers.

Hard to argue with any of those points. Nice of you to kindly elaborate for people trying to blame the victims of the scheme.
Hostile Poopoo
But then my fellow Latinos will call you “el bucanas” it doesn’t have the same ring to it.
While that is true, items are purposely made unrepairable now. You don’t have right to repair movements because John Deere and Apple devices are so much more complex to repair for common failure points. You have those movements emerging because companies make it extremely difficult in the name of profit or style. With equally skilled (and due to the internet more informed) and capable repair personnel not being able to even partake in the process.
