I wanted to but a NAS system anyways to do house backups and stuff.

And this system is RAIDed so getting everything on to the NAS will be easiest and start the process of setting up backups for the home.

Welp. Time to buy a NAS to back up all my stuff and rebuild this pc with Linux.

I’m not shocked at all, but there seems to be a very sizable number of people on Lemmy who think if people just used Linux there’d never be another problem or exploit again, which is ridiculous. Mac users used to feel the same way until the market share started to grow and all of the sudden you’re seeing news of serious exploits.

I mean, this is a factor I’m sure, but the reality is people want the big trucks. The big trucks sell. That’s the major factor. If this were the real reason the EV trucks would be small, right? Well they’re not, they’re gigantic. You can hava long and wide wheelbase without a 5 person cab, you can have an extended bed. You can have a long and wide wheelbase without a giant front end you can’t see over. The footprint doesn’t mandate a tall, luxurious cab.
