Pic 1 is a bit of a stretch. You’d have to be highly regarded to grab a glass like that
Yeah shouldn’t it have been the other way? AI for robots to take out the trash and cook and clean, and we’d be free for art and writing?
Was life at any point in our past free?
I don’t think so.
And if you go back to caveman times before money, we still paid with blood.
If anything life is moving into a situation where it might actually be free. But that does not mean freedom.
We were actually more free in caveman times.
Its a paradox. The more comfortable we get, the more safe we get, and the less we have to pay for this, in the end we will pay with less freedom.
Its not that simple. Its ok to apologize sometimes. But not so apologize every fucking time like I do for every minor slide. Also I can see the usefulness to just make the shot call instead of staying 1h writing that message/email. Others are ok too.
Here the employee just scans and does not pack. We do it hopefully faster than he/she packs then we are expected to pay. I’m in Europe. There’s also self-service machines which I prefer, no pressure there and there’s a single line for multiple machines, so I can take my sweet time without anyone looking at me.
Someone hire this guy! Nobel material.
When they bond with someone dont matter if he evil yo. BUT they will sense evil in others. Or not.
Thats me btw. Changed role in my company and I got nothing to do now! Guess what Im doing?
I like to not give a shot and take my time. Sometimes it works and I’m relaxed. Other times I feel the pressure and I’m awkward. Some employes like to scan the items so fast that I hardly have time to pack them in the bag then they just stand there looking at me with this face while I clumsily finish packing and pay.
Well it really isn’t addictive as opiates for example are. You wont become chemically dependant to it. The kind of addiction it causes is the same one that social media, TV, gaming, etc might cause. It becomes an habit and you get used to that. I know this is a simplification but this is how I see it.
