It’s an absolute joke that fans of SC say ‘when you get a clear server it runs perfect’, because it doesn’t. I’ve been in a brand new, freshly populating, rebooted server. The game runs like ass, the bugs are still everywhere. it’s just a badly made game and the design ethos is “we added more time wasting for realism!” (when they’re pretending not to just be ship salesmen)

Also, haven’t they STILL not decided on the final flight model for the game?

  • Hi! I work with google ads every day, it’s my job, and I have a business running ads for other small businesses.

Guess what, I use an ad blocker!

If all ads were innocent businesses trying to sell things I’m interested in, and they all had their targeting set up correctly, it’d be great. Unfortunately, all my ads are “you are male and under 60” and that’s as sophisticated as the targeting has been set to, so they’re totally irrelevant, terrible ads.

Also, my other issue is that some advertising platforms have really low standards for what you’re allowed to show. Google at least has some standards and is sometimes overzealous with its automated disapprovals, which hopefully makes its platform a little better. But I don’t get to choose which platform ads I see when I visit someone’s site (and Google pays very little when compared to other platforms)

  • Especially if they released a really successful game and then they released a really bad one that got them sued by their shareholders and they had to issue a public apology but internet sentiment is somehow still positive. Especially if that game had a $163 MILLION marketing budget.

It’s modern advertising. Just start a friendly discussion on social media about your product or service with some purchased or fresh accounts, or just upvoted anything positive and downvote anything negative! Imagine the effect you could have on discussions if just a single person focused on this 8 hours a day for weeks, compared to organic discourse.

People worry about Russian or Chinese botfarms but don’t stop to think that corporations are the ones with the most to gain from altering public perception worldwide.

  • I’m confused. You’re angry because you want games on the PlayStation? Nobody forced you to buy it. There are plenty of good games on there, and Sony do the same. I’m not crying that Bloodborne isn’t on PC. (not publicly)

Also, your wording was CONSOLE exclusive, so my comment pointed out that they’re not only on consoles, which is great! They’re open for more people to play.

Just get a PC and play everything! (except bloodborne)

  • I’ve had this multiple times.

Tried to leave a big detailed helpful negative review and it gets flagged for being suspicious, with no copy of the review attached so I have to write it all again. And then it gets removed again.

I just looked in my emails. The exact phrasing was “We have reviewed our decisions and concluded that the product you received is authentic. As a result, we removed your review specific to this product. This ensures other customers see reviews that reflect the current shopping experience.”

Most recently it happened with a body trimmer, where I never questioned the inauthenticity, and then a zojirushi travel mug that I genuinely believe was a fake, and attached a lot of evidence.

So frustrating how the series went. Dawn of war with all the expansions and factions installed was fantastic. And the dark crusade campaign with the total war style world battle map, perfect!

I really wish they just made an up to date dow1. Maybe don’t encourage monetizing individual chapters, I like that you could paint your own. I was happy to pay for a whole new race and a new campaign in a DLC package but paying for cosmetics can fuck off.

Activision didn’t have 2fa, my account got hacked and stolen, and sold on the black market (I assume because I had a Damascus skin on cod mw) after months of talking to support with proof of purchase (I think 4 months) they still hadn’t helped, and I realised my steam account was still linked and I regained access.

I changed the password instantly, and I had my account back. Almost immediately I received an email saying “fuck you, you sold me an account and changed the password!” This is how I learned it’s fate, after an argument dissolving into a conversation with them, it turns out he just bought my account from the hacker.

I relay ALL this information to chat support (who take an hour to contact and are only open at 3am) who can see my purchase history and extensive chat logs about the issues I’ve had. They congratulate me on managing to recover my account and help me remove the hackers linked accounts.

And then they ban me within that same week.

They won’t unban me, it’s permanent, they won’t review it or look at the chat logs, they don’t care. They didn’t ban it when it got hacked or when it got sold for four months, but they did once I recovered it.

    Fuck actiblizzard
