I like my rtlsdr. It’s great and super cheap.
Will talk about Linux, plants, space, retro games, and anything else I find interesting.

yep peertube is great. Im partial to https://makertube.net/ or https://tilvids.com/ but theres a ton: https://joinpeertube.org/instances
2 in my local area. It’s how I found out about it. We have been slowly growing the community.
Then you switch to someone else. Also its not just about talking. You can track a number of things: sensor readings, track satellites, airplanes, boats, etc…
To answer you seriously, yeah kinda! It’s a way of communicating without any internet access. You can talk with people around the world if you want. And it opens up to a whole community of people that really like the hobby.
Nope that’s what the web interface is for.
But an rtlsdr is pretty cheap if you want to go that route. I do satellite tracking with satnogs and it’s fun.
It’s silly they don’t just delete it instead they make you wait…
It was :(
My pi 4 is right on the cusp. 3 B+ was the best when it came to no dongles and power. Now its taking about the same power as a mini PC and you have to by the enclosure, fans/heatsink/dongles/etc…etc… I suppose you can still buy the old pis but man I miss when that was the form factor they were going for.
I bring over my 3/4 for hacking projects all the time. But I cant justify the 5 without looking at getting a mini pc for 10$ more and it comes with a hard drive ment to last longer than an SD.
meh its no longer growing.
For sure, just give me a nudge as I may forget to come back haha. I’ll try it out tonight if I get a chance.
I’ll give it a shot.
I tried something similar a year or so ago with my own script. What I found was, the longer the book, the harder the ai has on having the same voice.
I eventually got around this limitation by using piper. https://github.com/rhasspy/piper
It was good enough for my purposes. But it definitely sounded mechanical.
Its so simple for end users it sure can do a lot.
I have a meshtastic script that runs once a day that sends a weather report for our local area at 6:00 am. It was based off a script that some awesome person did. I also have a script that once a week sends out ham/meshtastic events to all local people. Its worked out pretty well.
Its a stragegy game where you move units on a hexagonal board. Its a pretty unique system in my opinion. Its kinda like advanced wars.
Super Tux and Wesnoth are my favorite, followed by SuperTuxKart.
Update it up now. Just a small outage.
We have higher market share 4%+. Thats the biggest one for me. We were at 3% earlier in the year.
He does bug me in his coverage in “problems” he says linux has in other videos, but he does research quite a it. So better than most. Like I love my steamdeck and linux support…
Surreal watching the rest of the internet freaking out. Meanwhile we are just sitting here on our own platforms doing our own things.
